An influential pub and music venue, particularly during the 1990s. A hub for London's Britpop and Shoegaze scenes, also important for the "Camden Lurch" indie bands.
Many prominent bands played there early in their careers, including Blur (as Seymour), Pulp, Lush, Slowdive, Suede, Oasis, Coldplay, PJ Harvey, and Muse. It was where Ivo Watts-Russell signed Lush and Pale Saints to 4AD, and Alan McGee first saw Super Furry Animals. The Barfly club night originated at The Falcon. Closed as a music venue in 2002, with the building later converted to residential use around 2010.
